It’s live.

After more than a year of building — almost entirely on evenings and weekends — Path of Progress is officially open for early access. The waitlist goes first, and families can sign up today and start using the whole system, not a stripped-down preview.

This one has been a long time coming, so let me say what it actually is.

What You’re Getting

Path of Progress turns the daily grind of household responsibilities into a quest-based adventure for kids. Everything I’ve written about on this blog is in here and working together:

  • Two currencies, one kingdom — coins for the in-app shop, gems for the real-world privileges parents define themselves
  • Learning quests — math practice with mastery tracking and visual aids, built right into the quest loop
  • Team quests — siblings can squad up on shared household jobs and split the rewards
  • Rotating and recurring quests — chores that come back on a schedule without you rebuilding the board every week
  • Approval workflows — parents stay in the loop on completions and reward redemptions
  • A full parent dashboard — analytics and controls to see how the household is actually doing

Why I Built It

This was never a market-research project. It came out of running an actual household with four kids and never finding anything flexible enough to handle how messy and specific real family life is. Every app I tried made me bend my family to fit its model. I wanted the opposite.

The philosophy underneath all of it is simple, and it’s the same one that’s shown up in every post here: build the right habits early, and accountability stops being a fight. The game is just the scaffolding that makes those habits stick.

This Is Early Access

Early access means early. The app is ready and it’s the real thing — but if you’re one of the first families through the door and something doesn’t feel right, I want to hear it. The feedback from these early families is what shapes where this goes next.
